Synopsis: VIPIO Super Star - A Talent Show and a platform to showcase talents of kids and youth of VIPIO (Vancouver Island's People of India Origin) Community.

COMPETITOR RULES :
1. Two Age Groups
a. 8 to 13 years
b. 14 to 18 years
2. Performer must be of India Heritage and living on Vancouver Island to participate.
3. Talent needs to be able to be performed live on stage (no outdoor stunts).
4. Contestants will need to sign publicity waiver for use of images and video in promotion of this years and future events. Contestants require parental or guardian consent to perform, as well as publicity waiver
5. Those who earn most of their living from their talent are ineligible.
6. In grand finale, finalists should be prepared to perform twice, two different numbers.
7. As this is a family friendly event – G or PG rated performances only.
ENTRY :
Auditions registration opens Monday 10th June 2024.
To register, complete the online form on our website along with a video submission of the proposed act to your or your legal guardian’s YouTube channel. Video submissions should be no longer than 60 seconds in length.
DEADLINE :
Deadline for submissions is Sunday, 17th, 2024, at midnight.
STRUCTURE :
1. Registration – All the registered performers will be able to participate in Auditions
2. Auditions – 50% of the performers from Auditions will be selected for Stage – 1
3. Stage – 1 – 50% of the performers from Stage – 1 will be selected for Stage – 2
4. Stage – 2 – Minimum 5 and maximum 8 performers from Stage – 2 will be selected for Grand Finale.
5. Grand Finale – There will be one winner and two runners up for each category
RULES FOR FINAL :
1. The final will have three rounds.
2. Each performance should not be longer than 5 minutes. There will be no penalty for a shorter performance.
JUDGING :
1. There will be three-member panel of judges
2. Judges for the event will be announced prior to the event, if possible
3. The judges’ decision is final.
4. Scoring will be based on talent, originality, and performance. Up to 10 points will be awarded in each category by each judge and they will be averaged
